UAMS-NW welcomes the Class of 2020 Internal Medicine residents!

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences – Northwest (UAMS-NW) Community Internal Medicine Residency Program is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas and is established in 2015 as a new fully-accredited community-based program within the Department of Internal Medicine in the UAMS College of Medicine. Our program will begin with eight (8) residents each year and grow to a full complement of 24 residents by the 2018-2019 academic year. We are a categorical three-year internal medicine residency program, leading graduates to certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Therefore, three (3) years from the start of the residency, northwest Arkansas will begin to see a steady stream of new internal medicine physicians available to care for a growing and aging population.

The UAMS-NW Internal Medicine Residency Program is supported by UAMS College of Medicine, Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas, and Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks.

Philanthropic support provided through Mercy Health Foundation by Walmart Foundation and Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas.
